Job summary

Stretford High School in Stretford is seeking a Catering Assistant (Part Time) to support a healthy school canteen. You will work 12.30pm–2.30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only, 2 hours daily. Duties include general kitchen tasks, food prep, serving, cleaning and washing up; strong communication with pupils essential.

This pupil-facing role requires reliability and a collaborative approach with the dining team, safeguarded by DBS checks as part of our due diligence.

Qualifications

• Fast working all-rounder capable of multitasking in a school canteen.
• Experience with general kitchen duties, food preparation, serving, cleaning and washing up.
• Good communication skills for a pupil-facing role.
• Availability Monday to Friday, 10.30am–2.30pm, term-time only.

Responsibilities

• General kitchen duties and food preparation.
• Serving food and clearing up after service.
• Cleaning and washing up; maintain hygiene standards.
• Interact with pupils in a courteous and helpful manner.
