Job summary

Lancashire County Council is recruiting a Catering Assistant to be based at St Stephen's C of E Primary School, Preston. The role is term-time, part-time with 10 hours per week, and involves assisting with the preparation, cooking and serving of meals for school children.

You will work as part of a team in a school dining environment, handling food and maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Prior catering or food prep experience is desirable, and DBS disclosure is part of the recruitment

Qualifications

• Good customer care skills.
• Previous catering and food preparation experience would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the dining area for service, including moving and setting up furniture.
• Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages.
