Job summary

inspiring vet care is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our Sundean Vets team in Lydney on a part-time, 9-month fixed-term maternity cover contract. You will work within a supportive small animal team across a two-branch practice, delivering high-quality nursing care while supporting client experiences.

The role offers a varied mix of nurse-led consultations and theatre days, with Wednesday as the main surgery day.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
• A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload.
• Run nurse-led consultations and support preventative healthcare.
• Provide inpatient and hospital nursing care.
• Support anaesthesia, patient monitoring and recovery.
