Eastleigh Borough Council is seeking a dedicated Engineer to support the Principal Engineer in delivering repairs, renewals and improvements to Borough assets. You will handle financial and administrative tasks and lead on daily engineering enquiries and policy guidance.

Your role includes inspections of highway infrastructure, managing the Road Marking Programme, and overseeing traffic orders for events. A proactive team player with technical knowledge is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Proficient computer skills in office and engineering software.
• Ability to interpret maps, drawings and spatial data.
• Knowledge of national/local standards including TSRGD and CDM regulations.

Aufgaben

• Carry out regular inspections of Borough highway infrastructure in day/night shifts.
• Manage the Borough Road Marking Programme and related projects.
• Oversee temporary traffic regulation orders for events on the highway.
• Support engineering projects at Grange Park Mobile Home site and liaise with stakeholders.
• Oversee the Small Works Programme to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
• Assist with Street Naming/Numbering enquiries and Tables & Chairs licensing.
• Manage Christmas Lighting arrangements and liaise with contractors.
