Job summary

Co-op York is seeking a Customer Team Leader to oversee a small team on shifts across early mornings, afternoons and weekends in Union Terrace Clarence Street, York. This part-time role is 15 hours per week with regular overtime, permanent contract, and 18+ age requirement.

You will lead on the shop floor, motivate staff, support merchandising and customer service, and help grow Co-op membership while delivering local community services.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members.
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
