Job summary

Brewers Decorator Centres in Banbury is seeking a friendly, reliable Part Time Retail Sales Advisor to deliver exceptional service in store and help keep the branch running smoothly. No prior product knowledge is required; full training provided.

You will assist customers, mix paint, process orders and support stock management across paints, wallpapers and decorating materials. The role is 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday with Saturdays on a rota, and a salary of £14,068.00 per annum plus

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Approachable and friendly personality, ready to help customers and colleagues.
• Enjoys teamwork and can also work independently.
• Willing to attend training to become Fire Marshall/First Aider if required.
• Retail experience is beneficial but not essential; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service in branch to uphold Brewers’ reputation.
• Use product knowledge to recommend the best options for customers.
• Mix paint for customers, process specialist orders, and request stock.
• Develop sales of paints, wallpaper and decorating materials.
• Build relationships with customers to identify needs and provide a comprehensive service.
• Promote seasonal items and merchandise to increase visibility and sales.
• Assist with stock maintenance, unload deliveries, and distribute stock in-store.

Located on the north side of Banbury, our Banbury Decorating Centre carries an impressive range of trade and designer paints, wallcoverings and decorating materials and equipment. Our friendly team is on hand to advise both the seasoned professional and novice DIYers. Our friendly and experienced team have a wealth of knowledge between them so if you are looking to expand your knowledge in our industry, you will be in the best place to do it. The branch opening hours are Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm and Saturday 8am - 5pm.

As a Retail Sales Advisor with Brewers, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Provide exceptional service to customers in branch, to deliver upon our reputation for quality Brewers service
• Use product knowledge to provide recommendations and help customers find the best product for their needs
• Mix paint for Customers, process specialist orders, and request special stock within the Branch network
• Developing sales of the Company product range including wallpaper, paint and fabric
• Build relationships with customers to fully identify their needs and allow us to provide a comprehensive service
• Promote seasonal and special items, including merchandising goods in-store to increase visibility and sales
• Assisting with stock maintenance in the branch
• Unload deliveries and ensure stock is distributed throughout the store

Who We Are Looking For To Join Our Team

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills, to understand and translate customer requirements into product recommendations
• Approachable, possessing an open and friendly personality - happy to help both customers and colleagues
• Enjoys working and supporting a team, but can always be relied upon to work as an individual
• Willing to attend training to become a Fire Marshall and/or First Aider if required
• Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within our industry
• Previous retail experience or product knowledge would be advantageous but not essential, as full training will be given to the right candidate
