Job summary

North Devon Hospice is seeking a Retail Driver/Sales Assistant for Two Rivers Warehouse/Barnstaple Furniture Shop. The role is 15 hours per week, with two days, flexible across 7 days between 8.00am–4.00pm, Monday to Sunday.

The salary is £10,300 per year pro rata (actual), with the full £25,800 per year pro rata shown. A full, clean driving licence including C1 is required, with experience driving 3.5t vehicles. You will work as part of a friendly retail team and assist customers and deliveries.

Qualifications

• A full, clean driving licence including C1 classification confirming you are legally able to drive a 3t vehicle for business
• Experience of driving a 3.5t vehicle for business
• A confident manner and ability to be genuine
• Great communication skills and be friendly, calm, kind and efficient – even on your busiest days
• A good standard of numeracy and literacy and IT skills
• Experience of working within a customer care environment
• The ability to follow procedures
• The capability to work alone and as part of a team
• Tactfulness, kindness and able to be diplomatic
• Motivation and be capable of using initiative
• General good health and physical fitness - must be able to lift heavy loads daily

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3t vehicle and operate as part of the retail team
• Provide high-quality customer service in-store and during deliveries
• Assist with sales and stock handling in the warehouse/shop
• Follow company procedures and work both independently and with others
• Maintain safety and health standards and lift heavy loads as required

Skills
