Job summary

Cancer Research UK in Ilford is seeking a part-time Retail Store Assistant to join our Trading team. You’ll provide excellent customer service, help drive sales and fundraising, and contribute to maintaining shop standards and community engagement.

You’ll work 15 hours per week, including Sundays, on a fixed-term contract ending 31 March 2027, and you’ll benefit from a generous package designed to support your development and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent customer and supporter service.
• Working as an integral part of the shop team to achieve ambitious sales and fundraising targets.
• Assisting with maintaining shop standards including visual presentation, safeguarding compliance and health and safety.
• Creating relationships with your local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
• Supporting fundraising events for your store to achieve fundraising targets.
