Qualifications

  • Significant postgraduate respiratory experience.
  • Previous NHS experience is preferred.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplined environment.
  • Experience within the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service.
  • Experience of exercise prescription and/or leading group exercise classes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist assessment and treatment to patients with chronic respiratory disease.
  • Delivery of treatment as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with trust guidelines.
  • Supervise and develop junior staff and students.
  • Participate in clinical audit as necessary.

Skills

Sound knowledge of chronic respiratory condition physiology and management
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Proven caseload/time management skills
Ability to demonstrate a flexible approach in relation to team working and patient care

Education

Degree in Physiotherapy
