Job summary

Danes Camp Medical Centre seeks a qualified ARTP-accredited Respiratory Physiologist to join the Primary Care Research Hub on a permanent part-time basis. The postholder will deliver high-quality respiratory investigations supporting clinical and research services.

Responsibilities include diagnostic spirometry, bronchodilator reversibility testing, lung-volume measurements, TLCO/DLCO testing, and related procedures, with oversight by a Clinical Supervisor and within governance frameworks.

Qualifications

• ARTP accreditation in respiratory investigations is essential.
• Competence in diagnostic spirometry and related tests.
• UK registration where applicable.
• Experience with respiratory equipment calibration and quality-control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic spirometry and bronchodilator reversibility testing.
• Carry out static lung-volume measurements and TLCO/DLCO testing.
• Conduct FeNO, pulse oximetry and 6-minute walk testing where trained.
• Maintain clinical records and report findings within scope.
• Ensure all investigations meet ARTP and professional standards.
• Work within competencies and escalate outside scope appropriately.
