Job summary

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Respiratory Physiologist to perform and report lung function and related respiratory tests across Peterborough City Hospital, Hinchingbrooke Hospital and the Community Diagnostic Centre. The role suits an experienced physiologist aiming for Band 6 or a developing candidate supported toward it.

Registration with the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists in the respiratory modality is required, with opportunities for service development,

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) in Clinical Physiology, or a recognised qualification in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement.
• Registration with the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists in the respiratory modality.
• Suitable post-qualification experience in performing and teaching respiratory diagnostics.
• Proficient and confident in performing a range of lung function investigations.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report a range of respiratory diagnostic investigations
• Support safe, high-quality patient care across multiple Trust sites
• Work collaboratively with physiologists, clinicians and the wider MDT
• Participate in service development, audit and quality improvement activity
• Support learners and staff in training where appropriate
• Maintain continuing professional development and competency progression
