Job summary

Lovemead Group Practice is seeking a Respiratory Nurse to join our established clinical team for up to 30 hours per week, leading high-quality respiratory care for our patients. You will work closely with GPs, nurses, pharmacists and the wider multidisciplinary team, focusing on asthma and COPD management and patient self-management in a supportive, forward-thinking practice.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experience of managing patients with asthma and/or COPD.
• Experience working within primary care or related clinical setting.
• Experience delivering patient-centred care and health promotion.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review patients with asthma and COPD.
• Conduct respiratory assessments and annual reviews.
• Perform and interpret spirometry (where appropriately qualified).
• Develop personalised treatment and self-management plans.
• Deliver patient education, including inhaler technique and smoking cessation.
• Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to improve respiratory outcomes.
• Support achievement of QOF and Enhanced Services targets.
• Contribute to service development, clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records.
