Job summary

Lovemead Group Practice / Roundstone Surgery in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, is seeking a Respiratory Nurse to join the team for up to 30 hours per week. You will lead respiratory reviews, support self-management, and work with GPs and pharmacists to deliver evidence-based care.

The ideal candidate has prior respiratory or practice nursing experience and is registered with the NMC. Spirometry competency and independent prescribing are desirable; NHS Pension and flexible working are offered.

Qualifications

• Be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experience in respiratory or practice/community nursing.
• Experience managing patients with asthma and COPD is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review patients with asthma and COPD.
• Conduct respiratory assessments and annual reviews.
• Perform and interpret spirometry where qualified.
• Support early diagnosis and management of respiratory disease.
• Develop personalised treatment and self-management plans.
• Deliver patient education on inhaler technique and smoking cessation.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes.
• Contribute to service development and clinical audits.
• Maintain accurate clinical records.
