Job summary

The IDRIS Research Project Officer at University of Birmingham will work with the Institute Manager and researchers to provide project management, finance, procurement and HR support across IDRIS research grants.

The role is full-time on a fixed-term 12-month contract, with a starting salary in the range £33,002 to £35,608 and potential progression to £39,906. Closing date is 25 October 2026. There is potential extension depending on funding and performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing larger projects via project boards, workstreams, and tasks.
• Support recruitment and management of employment contracts for Institute staff.
• Assist with budgetary monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder management.
• Contribute to developing communications and prepare progress reports.
• Provide guidance to staff and students assisting with research.
