Job summary

University of Birmingham is seeking a Project Manager within the Research Support Service (RSS) Network. This role supports governance, delivery of portfolios, and coordination of multiple workstreams across national partners, NHS trusts, and academia.

You will contribute to budget monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder liaison to ensure successful delivery of research support activities. The position is full-time, fixed-term up to March 2029, with a starting salary in the £33k–£35k range and

Qualifications

Educated to Degree level (or equivalent qualifications).
Significant experience in a similar project management role.
Excellent written and verbal communication, and data analysis skills.
Strong IT skills including MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

Support delivery of RSS Network objectives including project delivery, governance forums and workstreams.
Assist in budget monitoring and stakeholder management across internal and external partners.
Prepare progress reports for project boards and meetings; coordinate meetings and minutes.
Identify milestones, collect data, track KPIs and propose improvements to project management.
