Job summary

The Sheffield College is seeking an experienced Print Services Technician for a part-time, hybrid role. You will manage reprographic services, including printing, binding and copying, while ensuring accuracy and quality for staff and students.

Responsibilities include overseeing equipment, budgeting, vendor relations and developing campaigns to grow income. 18.5 hours/week with pro-rata salary and strong pension and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in printing, binding and copying in a reprographics environment.
• Attention to accuracy and presentation in proofs.
• Knowledge of copyright legislation.
• Experience with machinery and fault diagnostics.
• Experience dealing with external suppliers and contractors.
• Ability to assist with departmental budgeting.
• Strong IT skills including MS Office and photo editing.
• Proactive in adopting new technologies to improve service.
• Develop advertising campaigns to raise awareness.

Responsibilities

• Experience in all aspects of printing, binding, copying in a reprographic department.
• Ensure high standards with accurate proofreading and presentation.
• Support procurement of contractors and leases for the department.
• Operate and perform basic maintenance on reprographic machinery.
• Help manage the department budget and related activities.
• Provide advice using MS Office and photo editing tools.
• Contribute to campaigns to increase college awareness and income.
• Develop advertisement campaigns to promote services.
