Overview

Our esteemed client has a new and exciting opportunity for a Part Time Quality Assurance Assistant to join their Quality Assurance and Compliance team.

About The Department

The Quality department currently consists of a small team responsible for implementing and maintaining the Quality systems, operating two formal quality management systems (EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and EN ISO/IEC 17065:2012), and supporting various operational areas. They also hold the Secretariat services for the UK standards Committee TCI 69, responsible for footwear and leather standards development.

About The Role

• Responsible for activities including:
• Arranging meetings, creating agendas, and circulating minutes for TCI 69.
• Reviewing international and European documents, collating comments, and ensuring timely votes.
• Liaising with relevant committees and attending BSi meetings as needed.

• As a quality assistant, responsibilities include:
• Assisting with internal audits, creating gap analysis documents, and analyzing monthly statistics.
• Coordinating UKAS visits and scope extension activities.
• Managing compliance training, external subscriptions, and staff conflicts of interest documentation.

Training will be provided where required.

About You

• You are patient, self-motivated, methodical, with a keen eye for detail, good organizational skills, and able to work independently.
• You have a good understanding of statistics, maths, and physics, and are highly competent in Word and Excel.
• Experience in producing documents per a Quality Management System or in a testing/calibration laboratory is advantageous.
