Job summary

The Department for Education is inviting experienced early years professionals to apply for the PSED Lead role under the EYLL initiative in the Sheffield area. The position focuses on improving outcomes in PSED, early maths and early language by delivering targeted CPD and mentoring to educators.

Induction training will occur January 2027 with delivery commencing February 2027. Time commitment is two days per week during term time, with flexible delivery options across the year to match provider

Qualifications

• Experienced early years professionals invited to apply for the PSED lead role.
• Knowledge of Personal, Social and Emotional development (PSED) and early language or maths is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Improve outcomes by strengthening PSED, early maths and early language provision through high quality CPD.
• Provide targeted subject specific support to early years settings to strengthen practice in PSED, early maths and early language.
• Engage with professional development networks to deepen expertise and share best practice across EYSPH.
