Job summary

Widey Court Primary School is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to join a friendly team. You will support pupils in a warm, nurturing environment, helping with literacy and numeracy, and promoting independence and social interaction.

The role requires an NVQ 2/3 (or training toward) and a proactive, organised approach with strong communication. You may work across Connect Academy Trust schools in the future.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2/3 qualification or working towards.
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.

• Experience or ability to work with children with SEND, including speech and language difficulties, ASD and social/emotional needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in classroom to support pupils' learning and behaviour.
• Support pupils to develop independence and confidence.
• Contribute to positive behaviour strategies and classroom routines.
• Work with pupils with SEND as needed under supervision.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and parents to monitor progress.
