Job summary

Operam Education Group currently seeks a dedicated Primary Teacher to join a welcoming St Helens school on a part-time basis. You will support pupils across KS1/KS2, planning engaging lessons aligned with the primary curriculum and differentiating instruction to meet diverse needs.

The role offers a competitive daily rate (£140–£180) with PAYE paid weekly, long-term stability and access to CPD opportunities. A proactive, safeguarding-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Experience teaching in a UK primary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum (EYFS, KS1 or KS2).
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Proactive and reflective teaching approach.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing, enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the primary curriculum.
• Differentiate teaching to meet a range of learning needs.
• Monitor, assess and track pupil progress.
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with staff, SENCO and leadership.
