Combe Coastal Practice in North Devon is seeking a qualified Practice Nurse to work 20 hours a week. The role focuses on treatment room care, immunisations, travel vaccines, health checks, wound care and cervical screening within a busy, multi-disciplinary team.

The candidate must hold an adult nursing qualification, cervical cytology qualification, phlebotomy, BLS, and current NMC registration, with at least two years post-registration experience.

Aufgaben

• Provide safe, effective and compassionate care to patients.
• Deliver treatment room care: health checks, immunisations, vaccinations, wound care and cervical screening.
• Give pre-travel health advice, malaria prophylaxis where appropriate.
• Perform venepuncture, BP checks, urinalysis, pregnancy tests, ECGs and skin/wound care.
• Manage vaccine stock, cold chain and safety.
• Chaperone and support doctors during minor procedures.
• Promote health and wellbeing and support chronic disease management.
• Lead and participate in health screening programmes with the clinical team.
• Maintain accurate records under NMC rules and data protection standards.

Ausbildung

Adult nursing degree or diploma

Cervical cytology qualification

Phlebotomy qualification

Basic life support skills

Up-to-date childhood immunisation training

Current NMC registration
