Job summary

Kingswood Medical Centre in Basildon is seeking a part-time Practice Nurse to join a friendly team. The role is 12-15 hours per week, preferably on Fridays with scope for additional days. We seek a motivated nurse with a passion for patient-centred care and flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.

Previous experience as a practice nurse is essential. The practice offers a supportive environment with opportunities for professional development and involvement in vaccination

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working as a practice nurse is essential.
• Current NMC registration with an active PIN is required.
• A relevant nursing degree is essential.
• Evidence of clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultations.
• Knowledge and experience in supporting long-term conditions.

Responsibilities

• Health monitoring and management.
• ECGs/BPS.
• Support for women in sexual health, contraception and cervical cytology Consultations.
• Implement and participate in vaccination and immunisation programmes for adults and children, including travel vaccines.
• Meet the needs of patients presenting for opportunistic wound care.
• Asthma or diabetes management.
