Job summary

Kirkgate Surgery is a friendly, patient-focused GP practice in West Yorkshire seeking a caring Practice Nurse to join our clinical team for 15-20 hours per week.

The successful candidate will work with autonomy alongside our GPs and HCA team to deliver high-quality patient care, supporting baby immunisations, cervical screening, chronic disease management such as diabetes, asthma COPD etc, phlebotomy, wound management and treatment room duties.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in UK primary care.
• Passionate about providing excellent patient care.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing services including chronic disease management, immunisations, cervical cytology, travel vaccinations, contraception, wound care, venepuncture, ECGs and health promotion.
• Achieve immunisation targets and safe storage/handling of vaccines and medications.
• Participate in safeguarding procedures and respond to child and vulnerable adult concerns.
• Provide emergency care, including first aid and resuscitation as needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and follow PGDs and policies.
• Contribute to quality improvement and clinical targets.
