Job summary

Yard Sale Pizza Hither Green is hiring a part-time pizza chef to join our award-winning neighbourhood pizzeria. You'll showcase pizza-making skills, keep the kitchen running smoothly and uphold high standards.

The role is weekends with Friday and Saturday evenings; overtime paid; training and career progression available; you'll work with a great team and enjoy staff discounts and free pizza on shift.

Experience with dough stretching and baking in a fast-paced environment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Able to work Friday and Saturday evenings.
• Excellent team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Showcase pizza-making skills and prepare pizzas to standard.
• Ensure kitchen service runs smoothly during shifts.
• Adhere to high standards and complete all prep.
• Clean down the kitchen, including deep cleans when required.
• Take responsibility for your workstation and maintain hygiene.
• Work collaboratively in a team.

We’re a young but growing business currently with 8 sites, offering plenty of career progression for hard working individuals.

Duties

• You'll be showcasing your wonderful pizza-making skills;
• Ensuring the kitchen service is running smoothly;
• Adhering to exceptional high standards;
• Completing all prep as required;
• Cleaning down the kitchen including deep cleans when required;
• Take responsibility of your workstation;
• Work collaboratively in a team.

Requirements

• You must be available to work Friday and Saturday evenings.
• Experience stretching, baking and making dough in a fast-paced environment.
• Be an excellent team player
• All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and speak English.

We’re buzzing to be opening our 11th Yard Sale Pizza in South East London's Hither Green in November 2023. Bringing our award-winning handmade, hand-delivered pizzas to this stunning neighbourhood! We’ll be serving up London’s ultimate delivery pizza, all delivered by our amazing team of drivers through our in-house delivery service, with seats for dine-in customers.

Yard Sale Pizza fired up the oven in 2014, starting with weekly supper clubs from our backyard in Hackney. We now offer delivery, dine-in and takeaway in 17 of our favourite neighbourhoods. Known for our collaborations, we’ve teamed up with illustrators, musicians, international chefs & local eateries- all on the quest for the perfect pie!
