Job summary

Bath Spa University invites applications for a part-time Lecturer in Photography (Fixed Term) to cover maternity leave. The post is 0.5fte (18.5 hours per week) on a Fixed Term contract until 29 October 2027.

You will deliver high-quality teaching across the BA (Hons) Photography, design innovative materials, assess learners, support the student experience, and contribute to research, professional networks, and quality assurance within the School.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Photography required.
• Recent, successful university-level teaching experience in photography or a related discipline.
• A track record in research and/or scholarly activity linked to teaching.
• PhD or near completion preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across the Photography subject area.
• Design engaging teaching materials and assess learners.
• Support an excellent student experience and contribute to recruitment and admin.
• Engage in pedagogical innovation, research, and professional networks.
