Job summary

Latham House Medical Practice is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our busy primary care team in Melton Mowbray. The role is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with potential for part-time hours; experience in venepuncture and patient communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience is essential.
• Infection prevention and control knowledge is required.
• Enhanced DBS and legal right to work in the UK are required.
• Hep B/MMR vaccination status or willingness to be vaccinated.

Responsibilities

• Assist GP and nursing team in delivering high-quality primary care.
• Perform venepuncture to obtain blood samples under supervision.
• Accurate labelling and timely dispatch of samples.
• Maintain accurate patient records on the clinical system.
• Contribute to infection prevention measures.
• Support ordering and maintenance of medical equipment.
