Job summary

Vine Medical Group in Waterlooville is seeking an experienced part-time phlebotomist to join our clinical team. You will collect blood samples with care, supporting diagnostic investigations, while delivering a positive patient experience and maintaining dignity and safety throughout appointments.

The role offers about 20 hours per week, spread across Monday to Friday with a Saturday morning session monthly, and may accommodate alternative patterns for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent.
• Care Certificate Skills for Care.
• Recognised Phlebotomy training course.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Perform venepuncture to obtain blood samples under supervision or clinician referral.
• Accurately record care provision onto patient records using approved templates.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during blood collection.
• Maintain infection prevention and control standards.
• Assist with stock checking and room preparation.
• Support practice nurses and clinicians as required.
