Job summary

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a skilled Performance Analyst to support the Performance and Business Intelligence Service. The role focuses on collecting, validating and analysing data to inform decision making and service improvement within Adult Social Care, with opportunities to contribute across the Council.

You will produce reports and dashboards, support benchmarking and data returns, and help develop insights into customer needs and service demand.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop robust approaches to collecting, validating and reporting performance information to inform decision making and service improvement.
• A good understanding of performance management and the role of business intelligence in a large customer-focused organisation.
• Experience of analysing large and complex datasets and presenting findings clearly for a range of audiences.
• The confidence to identify and challenge areas of risk, poor performance and data quality and support colleagues to drive improvement.
• Excellent digital and data skills including spreadsheets, databases and data visualisation tools (Power BI) within a Microsoft 365 environment.
• Ability to build effective relationships, influence colleagues and work collaboratively to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Gather, validate and analyse data from a range of sources to provide accurate, timely and meaningful performance information.
• Produce reports, dashboards and intelligence products to help services understand performance and trends.
• Support benchmarking activities, statutory data returns and internal/external reporting requirements.
• Contribute to development of insight products that improve understanding of customer needs, service demand and outcomes.
• Apply analytical skills across Adult Social Care while contributing to broader Council priorities.
