Job summary

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a part-time Performance Analyst (22.2 hours per week) to join the Performance and Business Intelligence Service. The role focuses on supporting Adult Social Care with data collection, validation, analysis and reporting.

You will develop reports and dashboards, contribute to benchmarking, statutory data returns and insight products, and work with colleagues across the Council to drive service improvement.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop robust approaches to collecting, validating and reporting performance information.
• Understanding of performance management and the role of business intelligence in a large customer-focused organisation.
• Experience of analysing large datasets and presenting findings clearly for a range of audiences.
• Ability to identify and challenge risks, poor performance and data quality to drive improvement.
• Excellent digital and data skills, including spreadsheets, databases and data visualization (Power BI) within a Microsoft 365 environment.
• Ability to build effective relationships, influence colleagues and work collaboratively to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Gather, validate and analyse data from a range of sources to provide accurate, timely and meaningful performance information.
• Produce reports, dashboards and intelligence products that help services understand performance and trends.
• Support benchmarking activities, statutory data returns and external reporting requirements.
• Contribute to development of insight products that improve understanding of customer needs and service demand.
• Apply skills across the Council to emerging priorities and cross-cutting challenges.
