Job summary

Norfolk and Waveney Mind is seeking a Part Time Peer Support Worker at REST Norwich (NR2). The role involves providing one-to-one and group recovery support to individuals using lived experience to foster hope and a positive future.

Training is provided in Norwich, with working hours spanning a mix of 9am-5pm and 10am-6pm, including weekends and bank holidays. The position is 30 hours per week with a salary of £25,134 per annum, pro rata for part-time hours.

• Lived experience with your own mental health recovery journey.
• Experience working with a diverse group of people.
• Experience in recovery-focused organisations.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with service users.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Recovery Workers and facilitators to deliver group and one-on-one interventions focused on recovery and independent living.
• Share your personal recovery journey in a professional and appropriate manner.
• Empower individuals to take control of their own recovery through diverse interventions and opportunities.
• Participate in and contribute to the Peer Support Training program.
• Attend ongoing supervision, support, and training sessions.
• Support individuals in navigating barriers to accessing mental health and community services.
