The Best Connection is seeking a Payroll Assistant to join our Bromsgrove team on a part-time basis. If you have hands-on payroll experience and enjoy accuracy in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

This role focuses on weekly payroll processing, data maintenance, and statutory payments, with a friendly office setting and flexible pattern; 25 hours per week, salary £18,200–£18,850 DOE, and 30 days holiday rising to 33 after year.

Formación

• Previous payroll experience (essential).
• Experience processing payroll.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Weekly payroll processing end-to-end; ensure hours, overtime and deductions are accurate and deadlines met.
• Payroll administration including starters and leavers and updating employee records.
• Calculate and administer statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP) in line with current legislation.
• Support pensions and auto-enrolment processes and handle opt-ins/opt-outs.
• Act as first point of contact for payroll queries and provide clear information.
• Ensure payroll processes comply with HMRC regulations and confidentiality.
• Maintain payroll data and produce reports for internal stakeholders.
