Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is seeking a Chef for a part-time role contracted to 32 hours per week. You will prepare and serve high-quality food, oversee menu changes, and drive improvements in our food services. A Food Hygiene certificate, team leadership experience, and a flexible approach are essential.

The ideal candidate will bring passion for great-tasting food and customer service, with opportunities for learning and development across ~6,000 venues in the UK.

Qualifications

• Hold City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Food Hygiene certificate.
• Flexible approach to working.
• Passion for great-tasting food and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes
• Identifying opportunities to improve our food services
• Listening and acting on customer feedback to consistently improve our food services
• Supporting with the creation of new menus and creative food concepts
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image
• Monitoring inventories to keep our kitchens well-stocked
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Satefty regulations
