Job summary

Cardiff Council is seeking a part-time Social Care Training Coordinator to ensure that all staff across Social Care Partner Organisations have the knowledge, skills, and competencies to operate under the Social Services & Wellbeing (Wales) Act. The role supports the delivery of a comprehensive workforce development programme and collaboration across partner organisations.

The post requires experience in Social Services training, RISCA and SSWB Act knowledge, excellent communication and IT

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification aligned to the post.
  • Proven track record of partnership working and delivering training across partner organisations.
  • Experience in Social Services training.
  • Experience of RISCA legislation and the SSWB Act.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, plus IT skills.
  • Good understanding of public sector policy and performance frameworks.
  • Full valid driving licence and use of a car for work.
  • Welsh language ability is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure staff across Social Care Partner Organisations involved in duties under the Act have the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies.
  • Coordinate and deliver a comprehensive workforce development programme.
  • Support development of training across partner organisations and maintain compliance with statutory standards.
