Job summary

Zest Optical is seeking a Part-Time Optical Assistant to join two independent Leicester practices. You will welcome patients, assist with choosing frames and lenses, and support the optometrists in daily clinic operations.

The role offers a friendly, community-focused team and two convenient locations four miles apart. Working Tuesday plus one additional midweek day, with the potential to pick up holiday cover.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Optical Assistant is essential.
• Confident dispensing spectacles and providing patient care.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and providing a first-class customer experience.
• Supporting the Optometrists and wider team with day-to-day running of the practices.
• Advising patients on suitable frames and lenses.
• Handling contact lens enquiries and orders.
• Assisting with remote edging and working with Essilor lenses.
• Maintaining presentation of designer and everyday eyewear.
