Job summary

Meridian Business Support Ltd., on-site at the Cannington Court events and meeting centre in Somerset, is seeking a part-time commercial office cleaner to start ASAP. The role runs 16 hours per week, Monday to Friday 16:00-20:00, with a temporary initial 6-week contract and potential for more work for the right candidate.

You’ll ensure offices are clean, safe, and hygienic for staff, clients, and visitors, using PPE and proper cleaning chemicals.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial or office cleaning.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean office areas, including desks, meeting rooms, reception areas, corridors, and restrooms.
• Empty bins/clean fridges.
• Vacuum carpets, sweep, and mop hard floors.
• Wipe down and disinfect surfaces such as desks, countertops, and door handles.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors as required.
• Replenish supplies in restrooms, kitchens, and break rooms (e.g., soap, paper towels, toilet paper).
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Follow proper cleaning and health & safety procedures, including use of PPE and cleaning chemicals.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are stored safely and maintained in good condition.
