Job summary

Meridian is seeking a part-time commercial office cleaner to start ASAP at the Cannington Court centre in Somerset TA5. The role is 16 hours per week (Mon-Fri 16:00-20:00), at £13.45 per hour with holiday pay and weekly pay. This temporary position runs for six weeks with potential for more work for the right candidate.

You must have transport and parking is free. Typical duties include cleaning desks, meeting rooms, reception areas, corridors, restrooms and kitchens; emptying bins, restocking

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial or office cleaning preferred; on-the-job training available.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies and safe handling.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• High standard of cleanliness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Clean office areas, including desks, meeting rooms, reception areas, corridors, and restrooms.
• Empty bins, clean fridges.
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop hard floors.
• Wipe down and disinfect surfaces such as desks, countertops, and door handles.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors as required.
• Replenish supplies in restrooms, kitchens, and break rooms (e.g., soap, towels, toilet paper).
• Report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Follow health & safety procedures, including PPE and cleaning chemicals.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are stored safely and maintained in good condition.
