Job summary

Beaumont College South Lakes invites an Occupational Therapist to join a wide interdisciplinary therapy team to support students with complex conditions, promoting health, wellbeing and independence as they move toward adulthood.

The role is 8 hours per week during term time, based in Ulverston, requiring HCPC registration. You will conduct specialised assessments, provide equipment for daily living, train staff and maintain compliant records.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license and willingness to drive college vehicles.
• BSc in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
• Ability to use IT tools and keep accurate records.
• Interest/knowledge in therapy areas such as postural management and sensory processing.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of young people with complex conditions.
• Undertake highly specialised Occupational Therapy assessments and treatments as autonomous practitioner.
• Deliver OT interventions to promote independence in daily living and education tasks.
• Provide equipment for activities of daily living.
• Understand sensory processing difficulties and advise strategies.
• Maintain OT records in line with guidelines.
• Provide training to college staff.
