Job summary

Alkrington Primary School is seeking a part-time nursery teacher to join our EYFS team on a permanent, job-share basis from 1 January 2027. The role is within our Nursery class, collaborating with a partner to provide high-quality early education in a welcoming school environment.

The successful candidate will have QTS, strong planning and assessment skills, and a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion. The post is 2.5 days per week, all year round, with pro-rata salary £32,916–£51,048.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS or be legally eligible to undertake the role in a maintained school.
• Strong planning, assessment and classroom organisation skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach within Nursery EYFS and collaborate with job-share partner.
• Provide high-quality, engaging and inclusive early education.
• Work as part of a team with strong safeguarding and wellbeing focus.
• Contribute to the wider life of Alkrington Primary School.
