Job summary

Flourish Education is seeking a caring Nursery Practitioner for a part-time role in Bromsgrove, starting September on a long-term basis. The position runs 8:30am–3:30pm, with optional longer days for wraparound care, in a brand-new nursery for children aged 2–4.

You will support play-based learning, help children develop communication and numeracy, and foster their personal, social, and emotional growth in a safe, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years qualification required.
• Experience in a nursery/preschool or school EYFS setting preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, caring, and nurturing approach.
• Able to work well in a team.
• Flexible, reliable and professional attitude.
• Strong organisational skills and initiative.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and delivery of play-based learning activities.
• Create a safe, inclusive environment for children aged 2–4.
• Support language, literacy and numeracy development.
• Encourage personal, social and emotional development.
• Promote positive behaviour and independence.
• Observe and monitor progress, provide feedback.
• Support personal care needs when required.
• Prepare and organise learning resources.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and staff.
• Support both indoor and outdoor learning experiences.
