Job summary

Tommie's Childcare in Coventry is seeking a dedicated Lunch Time Assistant to join our nursery team. You will provide a safe, nurturing environment for children aged 0-5, supporting their early development during lunch and play periods.

The role is part-time, 11am-2pm, Mon-Fri, 15 hours per week, with DBS and references required. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for training in a supportive, child-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in nursery or early childhood setting.
• Strong understanding of child development principles.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Experience organizing activities that promote learning through play.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging activities tailored to children's developmental stages.
• Supervise children during playtime and meals, ensuring safety.
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with daily routines.
• Support colleagues in managing behavioural issues using appropriate strategies.
