Job summary

Waitrose & Partners in Altrincham is seeking a Supermarket Assistant for a part-time, temporary role up to 20 hours per week. You will help maintain shelves, fulfill online orders, reduce wastage, and support the store team across checkout and Click & Collect. A Welcoming customer-first attitude is essential.

The role includes potential shifts across mornings, evenings and weekends, with a DBS/vetting process where required, and a focus on delivering excellent service to our customers.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to enable you to work effectively as part of a team and with our customers.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and in the right place.
• Fulfilling online customer orders for drivers to deliver to customers' doors.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns.
• Supporting the wider shop team including checkout, Click & Collect, and fulfilling on‑demand orders.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.
