Job summary

South Coast Nursing Homes is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for Berkeley Lodge in Worthing, working nights and totaling 18 hours per week.

The role reports to the Home Manager and involves caring for residents with dementia and geriatric needs, maintaining high standards of care, documentation, and teamwork within a supportive clinical team. Benefits include competitive hourly pay and access to earned wages.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year's experience in nursing role.
• Nursing degree or above required.
• Ability to prioritise tasks to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Good reporting skills (verbal and non-verbal).
• Experience in geriatric, frailty, end-of-life and dementia care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of patient care ensuring the health and safety and welfare of all residents.
• Champion patient choice and autonomy. Ensure staff work in a dignified and respectful way to all residents.
• Support and assist in managing the whole care team when on duty. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure excellent resident care and communication.
• Promote good morale amongst staff and continuously strive to improve effective team working.
• Foster relationships with families, advocates and NOK and keep them informed of changes to residents' well-being.
• Ensure all documentation is comprehensive, concise and timely; maintain individualized care plans and accurate records.
