Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council in Solihull is seeking part-time Minibus Drivers to support disabled residents by helping them access day centres and schools across the borough.

You will hold a current Category D1 driving licence and a MIDAS qualification (or be ready to undertake the required training). The role involves dedicated, responsible driving with emphasis on safety and passenger care.

Qualifications

• Hold a current and valid driving licence with Category D1.
• Hold a MIDAS qualification for minibus driving (or be prepared to undertake the relevant training).
• Experience of driving larger vehicles.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Good understanding of support needs for people with learning or physical disabilities.

Responsabilités

• Assist service users with access to local day centres or schools.
• Drive minibus to designated routes across the borough.
• Observe service users and respond to their needs.
• Ensure safety and wheelchair handling during transfers.
