Liverpool John Moores University invites applications for a part-time Lecturer in Microbiology within the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences. The role focuses on teaching and administering Foundation, BSc Biochemistry and Biotechnology programmes, supported by the Biomolecular Team.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD in Microbiology or related field and have teaching or research experience in microbiology; some industry microbiology exposure is welcomed.

Qualifications

• PhD in Microbiology or related field is ideal.
• Teaching and/or research experience in Microbiology is essential.
• Experience in industrial microbiology is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to teaching and administration of Foundation, BSc Biochemistry and Biotechnology programmes.
• Collaborate in research activities within the Biomolecular Team and School.
• Engage in academic citizenship and use Life Science Building facilities.
