Job summary

Preston Muslim Forum is seeking a Mental Health & Wellbeing Practitioner in Preston to deliver non-clinical mental health support and wellbeing activities. The role emphasises reducing stigma, assessing needs and delivering tailored interventions.

You will work with staff, volunteers and service providers, maintain GDPR-compliant records, and may provide short-term counselling where qualified. Travel across Preston and occasional evenings/weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

• Promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma.
• Assess individual needs and develop bespoke recovery plans.
• Deliver short-term counselling where appropriately qualified.
• Work with colleagues to provide wrap-around support and build partnerships.
• Safeguard children and vulnerable adults; report concerns.
• Maintain confidential records in line with UK GDPR.
• Review service delivery and participate in supervision.
• Travel across Preston; some evenings and weekends may be required.
