Job summary

Preston Muslim Forum is seeking a part-time Marketing & Communications Officer to lead digital communications, social media and marketing efforts in Preston. You will create engaging content for social media, newsletters and the website, manage channels and improve engagement.

Proficiency in Canva, WordPress, and design skills are essential, with GDPR awareness for photography and case studies. You’ll report to the Business Manager and support annual reporting, event promotion and community

Qualifications

• Qualification in digital marketing, communications or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing social media and digital marketing campaigns.
• Experience updating website content using WordPress, Odoo or similar platforms.
• Strong content creation and design skills using Canva or equivalent tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of GDPR and consent for photos and case studies.

Responsibilities

• Lead Preston Muslim Forum’s digital communications, social media and marketing.
• Create content for social media, newsletters, website and promo materials.
• Manage social channels and increase online engagement.
• Design marketing materials using Canva or similar tools.
• Update website news, events and project pages and monitor events listings.
• Provide design/content support for Annual Impact Report and handle routine queries.
• Track performance and prepare simple monthly reports with recommendations.
