Job summary

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust's Integrated Facilities Management arm seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Craftsperson to join the Estates team on a permanent basis. The role covers reactive and emergency repairs to hospital infrastructure, and maintenance of engineering/plumbing systems across clinical areas.

Responsibilities include liaising with the Planning and Scheduling Manager, transporting materials to worksites, and performing minor installations to support safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance and repairs of building infrastructure
• Knowledge of engineering/plumbing systems and regulations
• Ability to work in hospital environments with safety considerations

Responsibilities

• Undertake reactive and emergency repairs to building infrastructure
• Liaise with Planning and Scheduling Manager for repairs and materials
• Construct and install minor works for upgrades to support services
• Move equipment and materials to worksites as directed
• Work in operating theatres, mortuaries, laboratories or patient areas with safety in mind
