Job summary

Tutorage CIC in the United Kingdom is seeking a friendly, patient maths tutor on a part-time 0.2–0.4 contract to tutor small groups and individuals up to A-level maths. While recent experience is not essential, a QTS and a STEM degree are highly regarded, with duties including lesson planning and supervising educational activities for children.

The role may require some evening and weekend work, with holidays prorated for part-time hours.

Qualifications

• QTS and Maths up to A-Level teaching capability required.
• Degree in STEM subject preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
• Experience with children with additional needs would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a range of educational activities to enhance learning in Maths.
• Provide 1 to 1 tutoring in Maths including planning.
• Conduct behaviour management strategies to support positive interactions among children.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to ensure smooth running of activities.
