Job summary

A rapidly expanding organisation is seeking a part-time Management Accountant to join their Newcastle upon Tyne team. You will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, handling day-to-day finance operations, and providing financial insights to senior management. The ideal candidate will be AAT Level 4 qualified, with recent experience in a similar role and proficiency in accounting software. This role offers a salary up to £35,000 pro rata, a supportive environment, and various benefits including a pension scheme and performance bonus.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 4 qualified or working towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA.
• Experience preparing full monthly management accounts independently.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting standards.
• Confident using accounting software like Sage 50.
• Experience in a fast-growing SME.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts including P&L and balance sheet.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate anomalies.
• Monitor performance against budgets and prepare variance analysis.
• Manage purchase and sales ledger processes.
• Prepare customer invoices and handle account queries.
