Job summary

KCR in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Part-time Finance Assistant to join a busy finance team. You will handle accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and weekly cashflow input, supporting a driven group.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Sage experience is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work in a finance-focused team and handle routine tasks accurately.

Responsibilities

• Accounts payable processing and invoice handling
• Reconciling bank accounts and posting to Sage
• Maintaining monthly direct debit schedule and inputting to weekly cashflow
• Checking invoices and credit notes against purchase orders and querying issues
• Adding payments to the payment run including checking due dates and following up on overdue payments
• Weekly BACS payment run
• Posting invoices and credit notes
• Reconciling supplier accounts against statements and following up on queries
• Checking expenses and querying any issues with staff
• Credit card processing
• Petty cash reconciliation
